IOWA State University provides international scholarship aids to assist international students as they continue or start their various courses at IOWA State University.

List of Approved International Scholarships Aid at IOWA State University
1. International Student Excellence Awards
The international student excellence award will be given to freshers who meet the requirements for the international student excellence award.
IOWA State University is focused on using the international student excellence award as a means to assist international freshers even as they start their undergraduate level courses at IOWA State University.
International freshers who were granted admission into any of the undergraduate courses at IOWA State University will be immediately offered the international student excellence award based on their secondary school total grades and SAT scores that were submitted by international applicants during the admission process into an undergraduate course at IOWA State University.
Eligibility for the International Student Excellence Awards.
International freshers who applied for an undergraduate course at IOWA State University and lack funding or scholarship from either their federal/state government or from external bodies will be suitable for the international student excellence award at IOWA State University.
International Student Excellence Awards would be immediately awarded to freshers or applicants in undergraduate courses that possess the necessary secondary school grade and SAT score for the international student excellence award.
Hence, freshers do not need to apply for the international student’s excellence award it would be automatically awarded to them once they are found eligible by the management of IOWA State University.
Please note that freshers who receive the international scholarship excellence award will not be given or allowed to hold an offer of an international merit scholarship.
International Student Excellence Awards is divided into two; which are President’s Excellence award for international students(successful applicants for this scholarship will receive $48,000, that is a sum of $12,000 would be awarded to freshers yearly for 4yrs) while the Dean’s Excellence Award for International Student (successful applicants for the dean excellence award will receive a sum of $40,000, which means a fee of $10,000 would be awarded to freshers yearly for 4 years).
Successful freshers who either gained the president excellence award or dean excellence award should note that the scholarship funding will last for at 8 semesters (4-years)or till the fresher finishes their undergraduate course at IOWA State University.
Interested international applicants who want to apply for the international student excellence award must ensure they apply and properly complete their undergraduate admission form by May 1st.
Freshers who wish to continue to the international student excellence award should take note of the following;
Freshers who wish to continue the international student excellence award must endeavour to have a grade point average of 3.0 while they remain registered in their undergraduate course at IOWA State University, with a steady registration in at least a total of 12 credits for each semester.
Freshers who wish to continue the international student excellence award should note that only international students proven by the IOWA State University would be suitable for the international student excellence award, and lastly, the amount awarded to freshers may be used to pay for their undergraduate course fees.
2. IOWA State University Scholarships
IOWA State University Scholarships application form has expired for the present academic year.
Other Scholarship programs are still accepting interested international applicants, however, application forms for the IOWA State University Scholarships will resume early next year for the next academic year.
International freshers who were granted admission into any of the undergraduate courses at IOWA State University will be immediately offered the IOWA State University Scholarships award based on their secondary school total grades and SAT scores that were submitted by international applicants during the admission process into an undergraduate course at IOWA State University.

3. ANNE DOYLE INTERNATIONAL STUDENT AWARD
The Anne Doyle international student award will give out a scholarship monetary fee of $1,000 to international freshers or applicants who are applying to study in an undergraduate course at IOWA State University or freshers who wish to apply for an undergraduate course on an F-1 student visa.
In conclusion, successful applicants or freshers for the Anne Doyle international student award will be awarded based on freshers’ secondary school results, their personal written essays and referees’ letters submitted to them.
