Role
The School is looking for a qualified dentist to teach Clinical Teaching the School. You are expected to contribute to clinical teaching at the School, and teaching responsibilities may be across a range of clinical disciplines depending on the programmes.
Requirements
- You must have a BDS
- an academic teaching qualification or equivalent
- detailed knowledge of general dentistry applicable to the undergraduate curriculum and significant experience in UK general dental practice beyond the entry-level training.
- You must possess excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- You must have a willful commitment to developing your teaching and management skills.

Main Responsibilities
- Contribute to the delivery of an exceptional learning experience in both undergraduate programs within the School (BDS and BSc in Oral and Dental Medicine) but may occasionally be required to provide teaching in one of our postgraduate programs
- To take an active and significant role in developing and delivering clinical teaching. Teaching responsibilities may range across clinical disciplines depending on the needs of the programs.
- Contribute to the pastoral support of students
- Participate fully in the School’s quality assurance and improvement processes and perform administrative tasks and other duties in support of the educational program
- Identify and implement a professional development program.

Knowledge, skills, and Experience
- Evidence of relevant formal postgraduate training examples, proof of Dental Foundation Training or equivalent.
- Demonstrable clinical skills and experience in dentistry
- Teaching experience in a dental clinical setting
- Broad understanding of UG programs in the School

Qualifications
- BDS
- Current and complete registration with the General Dental Council in the UK
- Postgraduate certificate, diploma, or master’s degree in clinical education or registration with HEA
