It is a mode of entry or admission into a University that offers students immediate admission into the 200 level (though there are exceptions to this).
Yes, you wouldn’t enter 100 level if you are qualified for Direct Entry for most schools and departments.

Yes! As said earlier, the university encourages students that are qualified to request for the Direct Entry form.
Is the Direct Entry Form Out For EKSU? (2021/2022)
Yes. The direct entry form for the Ekiti State University 2021/22 academic centre is not yet out but candidates are encouraged to get themselves acquainted with the admission processes.
When Is The Deadline For the EKSU Direct Entry Application?
The Deadline to request to join the Direct Entry Program for the Ekiti State University (EKSU) is yet to be announced by the school management.
How Much is the Direct Entry Form?
The Ekiti State University charges a non-refundable fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) to get the form before applying and this amount is only valid when it is paid through the school (EKSU) website.
The Ekiti State University has also announced that it has no external agents for registration hence, applicants are to be aware of fraudsters and fraudulent websites requesting payment to get the form.
Does EKSU Accept Second Choice For Direct Entry?
No! Unfortunately, Ekiti State University is still among the schools that do not accept the second choice for admission, whether regular or not.
It also does not accept lower credits for admission into any of its degree programmes.
And by “Second Choice Placement”, we are referring to candidates who put the school as the second choice while filling the DE JAMB form
How To Apply For Direct Entry (EKSU):
- Login to eksu.edu.ng
- Click on ‘PAY FOR PUTME’
- Select mode of entry, e.g. UTME or DIRECT ENTRY.
- Fill in JAMB’s Registration Number.
- Fill in the course you are applying for.
- Fill in your name (Applicant’s name).
- Fill in your phone number (Applicant’s Phone number).
- Fill in your VALID E-MAIL ADDRESS (Applicant’s Email).
- Confirm email address.
- Please click on the “I’m not a robot” reCAPTCHA box for verification.
- Click “Submit”
- Then select how you want to pay e.g.
- CARD (This method requires that you fill in your ATM card (Master, Visa or Verve card) details to make a payment).
- Bank Branch (This method requires that you enter any bank that processes Remita transactions and present your pre-generated RRR code to make a payment).
- (Please ensure you fill in your details correctly as payment made for Post-UTME application in error is non-refundable)
- Make sure you copy or print the RRR number generated after successful payment.
- After payment, go back to www.eksu.edu.ng, click on APPLY FOR PUTME, locate Admission and click on ‘Create Account’, you will be directed to the online application portal.
- ‘Sign up by providing the required details to create an account, MAKE SURE YOU PROVIDE YOUR ACTIVE EMAIL AND PERSONAL PHONE NUMBER, a verification email will be sent to you.
- After successful signing up, click log in to log on to your dashboard. Applicants are to log in using their CORRECT JAMB registration number as ‘username’ and enter their phone number as ‘password’ used while signing up.
- On your dashboard, select the type of application (2021/2022 PUTME application). The next page requires inputting the applicant’s JAMB Registration Number (UTME). For applicants who chose EKSU, their information will be updated automatically, and they can proceed to fill in their other details. Applicants who did not choose EKSU as the first choice will have to fill in all their correct details on the form page.
- The next page requires inputting the RRR number obtained for your payment on remita (1-13 above) to verify payment status.
- Attach 1” x 1” of your colour passport photograph with red background in (JPEG format only) on the form page.
- Upload details of your O’Level result(s) obtained at not more than two sittings at the following examinations: WAEC/SSCE, NECO and NABTEB.
- After undergoing the above procedure, preview, confirm, submit and print out the completed screening form.
Essential Requirements For EKSU Direct Entry;
- A minimum of 5 credits in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) Ordinary Level Credits in a maximum of 2 sittings.
- Candidates must have ‘A’ level/IJMB passes in two subjects that are related to their area of study.
- JUPEB/A’ Level passes in Related subjects.
- Degree (First Class/Second Class Upper) in related fields for your course of choice.
- Direct entry candidates are required to purchase the EKSU Direct Entry form through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) And EKSU Portal.
- A minimum of Merit Pass in the National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND) and other Advanced Level Certificates.
Conclusion
During the registration process, ensure your email address is active and correct because it is the medium by which your payment receipt will be sent. You may not get a receipt if the email is incorrect and payment is nonrefundable.
Wrong/ falsified documents and information would lead to disqualification.
Direct Entry candidates should process their transcripts, which must get to EKSU via this email: admissions.registration@eksu.edu.ng on or before 29th December 2021 failing which their applications for admission will not be considered
