What is Eni?
Have you ever heard of a company called ‘Eni?’ If you haven’t, now you have!
Eni is an international integrated energy company. It is an Italian Oil and Gas company and its headquarters can be found in Rome, Lazio, and Italy.
Eni (Ente Nazionale Idrocarburi – National Hydrocarbons Board in English) started on the 10th of February 1953, making this oil and gas company 69 years old. It specialized in producing petroleum, natural gas, and petroleum products.
You would be thrilled to know that Eni started from an already existing oil and gas company. Can you guess which one? The answer is Agip!
Scuola Enrico Mattei is a private Italian International school that can be found in Morocco and has its headquarters in Casablanca. It is a part of Eni and is the institution that is the sponsor of the Eni-Oxford African Scholarship.
Full Details of the Eni-Oxford African Scholarship 2022
Scuola Enrico Mattei is concerned about financially assisting students especially those in African countries and this year is no different. The institution has up to two scholarship awards for qualified students.

Eligible Level of Study
As earlier said, this scholarship is only for you if you are aiming to pursue your Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree.

- MSc African studies
- MSc Economic and Social History
- MSc Economics for Development
- MSc Global Governance and Diplomacy
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates are expected to be
- High potential African Master of Business Administration candidates with a vision for better leadership and governance in Africa.
- Awarded on the basis of academic excellence displayed by their degree results, GMAT or GRE score, previous university awards, and outstanding academic achievements.
GMAT and GRE Acceptable Scores
1. GMAT scores: The university does not stipulate a minimum score but students are strongly encouraged to attain scores between the range of 650 and above.
- GMAT result scores are not considered if the test was taken more than five (5) years before the application deadline.
2. GRE scores: Although the university accepts just about all scores, a GRE verbal score of 160 and a quantitative score of 160 are considered strong enough to enable eligibility. GRE scores are not valid if they are more than five years before the application.
Language Requirements
As an applicant, you are expected to prove your English language capacity. Basically, the proof is having strong reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
There are no specified English Proficiency Tests to be taken by students from non-English speaking countries in this scholarship but Oxford University has that. If you fall under the category of non-English speaking students, you are expected to check the university’s portal to know the test requirements.
How to Apply
The following instructions are to be strictly heeded to apply for the Eni-Oxford Africa Scholarship
a.Details of your post-MBA career plans and demonstrate how the program will equip you with skills to reach these goals.
By doing so, you show that you know your level of knowledge and experience, and you are willing to expand and broaden your professionalism with MBA being the reconciling factor between the two (your present and future).
b. You need to write a letter to the university, a maximum of 250 letters telling them everything you would want them to know about you. This is your chance to impress the Admissions Committee so use it judiciously.
c. Online assessment
Since the university has not met you physically to assess your personality, they set up an online assessment with which to assess you. For some sections, the questions are the same. For others, they are different.
- Two motivation-based questions (The same questions for all candidates)
- Two competency-based questions (Random questions)
- Written responses (these are random, fast-paced questions that require thinking within a short frame of time).

- Your Curriculum Vitae (CV): Your CV should on a page contain details of at least two (2) years of full-time work experience.
- Two referrals from professional referees
- Your university degree academic transcript or mark sheet.
