Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences is offering Full CAAS International Scholarship Grants to assist individuals in scientific research.

Full CAAS International Scholarships grants at CAAS were established to also assist Individuals who are interested in providing solutions to a lot of challenges faced in the aspect of Agriculture and how Agricultural practices can be developed through research and technology.

Full CAAS International Scholarship Grants are available to individuals who are running a Master’s program studying Agriculture, Individuals who are studying a Doctoral program in Agriculture, individuals who are general scholars in Agriculture and lastly Individuals who are senior scholars studying agriculture under the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS).

Hence, successful applicants who are qualified for the Full CAAS International Scholarship Grants and are present in either Master’s or Doctoral courses under the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences will enjoy the scholarship for 3yrs. 

List of Full CAAS International Scholarship Grants 

There are a few scholarships under the Full CAAS International Scholarship Grants that can be awarded to applicants who are eligible and are studying a course or program under the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS).

Here a some of the Full CAAS International Scholarship Grants available;

(1) The Chinese Government Scholarship (CGS)

Applicants who apply for the Chinese Government Scholarships under the Full CAAS International Scholarship Grants are requested to apply either to the graduate school of CAAS  or applicants may apply directly to the Chinese Embassy for the Chinese Government Scholarships under the Full CAAS International Scholarship Grants. 

Successful applicants who apply for the Chinese Government Scholarships under the Full CAAS International Scholarship Grants would reap benefits such as; 

1. The scholarship will pay for the applicant’s school fees and relevant textbooks.

2. The scholarship award would also cover applicants’ housing expenses as long as it is within the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences campus.

3. The scholarship award would also cover applicants’ living expenses for each month. Applicants who are studying a Master’s course or applicants who are general scholars under the CAAS would receive 3,000 RMB. While applicants who are studying a Doctoral course or are senior scholars at CAAS will receive 3,500 RMB. 

4. Lastly, the scholarship will cover for applicants’ major expenses incurred due to health issues.

(2) The Graduate School of CAAS Scholarship (GSCAAS)

The graduate school of CAAS Scholarship under the Full CAAS International Scholarship Grants was created by the graduate school of the CAAS to financially assist international students or international individuals who have good educational results and want to further their education at CAAS. 

Please note that applicants 

Those who have accepted scholarships from either the Chinese government or the Beijing government are not suitable to apply for the graduate school of CAAS. 

Successful applicants who apply for the graduate school of CAAS Scholarship under the Full CAAS International Scholarship Grants would reap benefits such as; 

1. The scholarship will pay for the applicant’s school fees and relevant textbooks.

2. The scholarship award would also cover applicants’ housing expenses as long as it is within the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences campus.

3. The scholarship award would also cover applicants’ research studies for each month which would be supported by their graduate school CAAS. Applicants who are studying a Master’s course or applicants who are general scholars under the CAAS would receive 3,000 RMB. While applicants who are studying a Doctoral course or are senior scholars at CAAS will receive 3,500 RMB. 

4. Lastly, the scholarship will cover for applicants’ major expenses incurred due to health issues.

(3) The Beijing Government Scholarship (BGS)

The Beijing Government Scholarship (BGS) under the Full CAAS International Scholarship Grants was founded by the Beijing Government to financially assist international students or international scholars who possess good educational qualifications and want to resume a higher degree in  Beijing.

The winners of the Beijing Government Scholarship (BGS) should note that the scholarship would cover their school fees for a certain academic year. The scholarship would also cover applicants’ housing expenses as long as it is within the campus. Lastly, the scholarship will cover applicants’ major expenses incurred due to health issues.

Please note that applicants who have received the Chinese Government Scholarships under the Full CAAS International Scholarship Grants are not suitable to apply for the Beijing Government Scholarship which is still under the Full CAAS International Scholarship Grants2024.

(4) GSCAAS-OWSD fellowship

The graduate school of CAAS Scholarship OWSD fellowship was established by the organization for women in science for the Developing World alongside the graduate school of CAAS. The scholarship is awarded to females who are ready to undertake research opportunities in the area of Agriculture.

Eligibility Requirements for the Full CAAS International Scholarship Grants 

So here’s a list of eligibility requirements that applicants must fulfill before applying for the Full CAAS International Scholarship Grants;

1. First of all, applicants would only be allowed to apply for Full CAAS International Scholarship Grants if they are not citizens of China.

2. Before applicants would be eligible to apply for the Full CAAS International Scholarship Grants they must be medically fit and willing to obey all Chinese terms and conditions. 

3. Applicants would only be eligible for the Full CAAS International Scholarship Grants if they fall in the academic and age qualifications mentioned below;

• Applicants must be studying a Master’s program under the Chinese Academy of Agricultural, hold an undergraduate degree, and be 35 years of age.

• Applicants must be studying a Doctoral program under the Chinese Academy of Agricultural, hold an undergraduate degree, and be 40 years of age.

• Applicants must have at least 2 yrs of experience in their bachelor courses and must be a general scholar not more than 45yrs of age.

• Applicants must be a senior scholar who has a Master’s degree or a higher title or could also be an associate professor but must not be more than 50yrs of age.

4. Lastly, applicants would only be eligible for the Full CAAS International Scholarship Grants if they are either trained or talented in either English or Chinese.

In conclusion, applicants who want to apply for the graduate school CAAS Scholarship and the Chinese Government Scholarships must submit their application form before April 30th 2024 for early registration. Applicants should send their application form once they have completed it through the online application system available for graduate students under the CAAS.
