The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) is inviting qualified candidates for admission into its Basic Studies also known as the Pre-degree Programme for the 2021/2022 academic session.
The basic studies/Pre-degree Programme of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta is managed by her Institute for Human Resources Development (INHURD) which was formerly known as
The Centre for Human Resources Development (CENHURD) was founded in 2002 with the sole aim of running Pre-degree, Diploma and Certificate courses at the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta mini-campus Isale-Igbein Abeokuta.
The Baic studies/Pre-degree Programme of INHURD is a full-time one-year pre-matriculation training of Science programme and it is designed to prepare students for various degree programmes of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.
The programme also prepares students indirectly for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (JAMB-UTME).
The Institute is responsible for running various basic studies programs such as Pre-degree Science Programme, Pre-degree Management Science Programme, the INHURD FUNAAB Cambridge A-Level Programme. And also her Part-time Degree Programme.
The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) basic studies programs and their requirements:
1. The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) Pre-degree Science Program
During the course of the program, all basic studies students must take English Language and Mathematics subjects in addition to Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The courses are taught in two semesters and the students are assessed through internally conducted tests during the semesters and main examinations at the end of each semester.
The training includes lectures, tutorials and laboratory practicals.
The Institute also runs JAMB/UTME tutorials and teaching which is mandatory for Pre-degree programme students seeking admission into degree programmes of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB).
Admission Requirements:
· Minimum of 5 credits in Senior Secondary School Certificate/General Certificate of Education (SSCE/GCE/NECO),
· A maximum of 2 sitting in O level examination in Chemistry, English Language, Mathematics, Biology, or Agricultural Science and Physics.

Scoring and Placement into Degree programmes of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB)
According to the information displayed on the school website (https://unaab.edu.ng/), Students are expected to score an aggregate of 50% and above at the end of the session plus a minimum score determined by the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) in UTME and post UTME.
All these will be used to calculate a composite score for the student. A student is expected to have a minimum composite score of 40% before being enlisted for placement into the degree programmes of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) by FUNAAB or any other University that runs the Jupeb program within Nigeria.

2. (IJMB) A-Level Programme
The IJMB Programme is a full-time Advanced level programme that runs for 10-11months (April – February). It is designed to prepare students for direct entry into 200 Level of various degree programmes of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta and other Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria.
The programme is run for two semesters and the students are assessed through internally conducted tests during the semesters and the main external examination at the end of the second semester.

3. Cambridge A-Level Programme
INHURD, Federal University of Agriculture, runs a 10 months Intensive and residential Cambridge A-Level programme.
At the end of the programme, successful candidates are guaranteed direct entry into the 200 Level of all courses offered by FUNAAB or any other Universities within and outside Nigeria.
