Firstly, what is JUPEB and how does it work?
JUPEB stands for Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board. It’s a national examination board in charge of conducting examinations for students who have undergone accredited subject combinations and are seeking direct entry admissions into Nigerian and partnering foreign tertiary institutions.
• Those seeking admission into Gregory University Medicine & Surgery or other departments but could not succeed can proceed to click on JUPEB for instant admission. It’s a one year Programme which upon successful completion offers them the opportunity to join the others in Year 2 through Direct Entry admission. They can continue with Gregory University, Uturu or move to any other university of their choice. Tuition for each JUPEB candidate is N260,090 (Arts) or N280,000 (Science) for the whole year.. • ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible to take examinations leading to the JUPEB”s Direct Entry Certificates, into Gregory University the candidate must have been exposed to an intensive scheme of academic work applicable to his/her propound University course and posses a minimum of 5 credit at a maximum of two sittings (inclusive of English Language) relevant to candidate’s course of study in the university.
• DURATION: The duration of the Programme is a minimum of one academic session of two semesters in Gregory University and other Universities nationwide.
In Gregory University lectures on JUPEB programme are guided by the accepted JUPEB syllabus and the contents of this covers the University 100 level syllabus and above, which must be taught within the period of these two semesters.
