Headache Medicine Fellowships at University of Michigan, USA
Intending to provide fellows with the opportunity to become headache medicine consultants and practitioners, the University has decided and come to a conclusion to award Headache Medicine Fellowships for the 2022-2023 academic year.
This headache fellowship offered by the University of Michigan is a one-year Council for Neurologic Subspecialties program for treating headaches and facial pain.
Students who are US citizens or hold J-1 visas sponsored through ECFMG are eligible for inclusion in this fellowship.
They will be provided with training in the critical components of the neurological exam and related pain and headache syndromes.

Candidates are expected to meet all of the following criteria:
- Candidates must be United States citizens or permanent residents (green card holders).
- Applicants must hold a J-1 visa sponsored through ECFMG.
Candidates are expected to prepare the following documents to apply for this scholarship:

- There are letters of recommendation
- USMLE results
- ECFMG certificate
All candidates must have acquired a Ph.D. degree with appropriate grades.
Applicants must have spoken and written English skills.
Candidates selected for this University of Michigan Headache Medicine Fellowship will receive training including key components of the neurologic exam and related
pain and headache syndromes, as well as didactics in migraine, cluster headache, cervicogenic headache, and other headache topics. The training program will also include the following:
- Headache and neuropathic pain clinic meeting
- Multidisciplinary meetings of the pain council
- Big wheels
- Diary club meeting
