Candidates with just O-level results would not be eligible to apply for Direct Entry Screening Form at Hezekiah University.

Below is a list of departments candidates may consider when filling their Direct Entry Screening Form at Hezekiah University;

FACULTY OF NATURAL AND APPLIED SCIENCES

Departments 

• Plant Science and Biotechnology [B.Sc.]

   Direct Entry Requirements

The time span for Direct Entry is 3yrs, candidates should have at least two ‘A’ level passes at the GCE/JUPEB/IJMB in relevant science subjects shall be 3 years.

• Chemical Sciences

 Direct Entry Requirements

Candidates must also have the required O level results alongside their other degrees

The time span for Direct Entry is 3 yrs, candidates/applicants should have credit passes in at least two ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and Mathematics/Physics/ Biology. 

• Computer Science [B.Sc.]

  Direct Entry Screening Form Requirements

a]Candidates must have O Level results with 5 credit passes in five subjects, including the English Language, computer, physics, and chemistry in not more than two O level combinations.

b) candidates should have either a JUPEB certificate/ND/Bachelor’s degree.

c) Candidates with two A level passes or credit passes in relevant subjects like Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics, would be eligible for admission into 200 level, this is in addition to the candidate’s O Level results.

d) Candidates who also have a good National Diploma in Computer Science will also be eligible for admission through Direct Entry admission into 200 level.

 

• Physics [B.Sc.]

Direct Entry Screening Form Requirements 

Candidates should have at least ‘A’ level passes in two or three relevant subjects with ‘O’ level credit passes including English language in two or three other subjects at not more than two sittings before they would be considered for admission into 200 level through Direct Entry.

Also, candidates with two passe either in Advanced level GCE/IJMB Advanced Level in 2 necessary subjects like Biology, Botany, Chemistry, Geography, Mathematics, and Physics may be considered for admission into 200-level.

Candidates with a National Diploma (ND) in relevant subjects with a credit pass may qualify candidates for admission into 200 level physics department. 

Candidates must also have five O’level credit passes including mathematics, physics, chemistry, and English language, in rare cases candidates with ND lower level may be considered.

Direct entry candidates applying with a JUPEB certificate in relevant subjects with at least 3 credit passes may qualify for admission into 200 level physics department.

They must also have five O’level credit passes in Computer science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English language.

FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT AND SOCIAL-SCIENCES

Departments

• Accounting[B.Sc. Accounting]

Direct Entry Screening Form Requirements 

Candidates must have at least 5 credits in their O level results

Candidates must have A level passes in subjects like Economics, candidates must also have either a JUPEB result/ND/Bachelor Degree

• Business Administration[B.Sc. Business Administration]

Direct Entry Screening Form Requirements 

(a) candidates must have  O/Level results, candidates/applicants should have at least two A/Level papers in necessary subjects.

(b)  candidates who have OND results in the relevant department with at least upper credit alongside five credit passes as in necessary subjects.

© Candidates with HND result in the necessary department with at least upper credit in addition to five credit passes as in necessary subjects would be considered for admission

• Economics[B.Sc. Economics]

      Direct Entry Screening Form Requirements

Candidates applying for Direct Entry Screening Form must have 5 credits in their O level results in subjects like Mathematics, English Language, Economics, Accounting, Commerce.

Candidates should have at least two “A” level passes in Economics and any one of Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Accountancy, Business Management, History, and Government. 

Candidates/applicants with NCE from a well-known college of Education, ND or HND from well-known Polytechnics, Bachelor’s degree from a well-known university.

• Political Science [B.Sc. Political Science]

Direct Entry Screening Form Requirements 

 Candidates should have at least two GCE ‘A’ level subjects, JUPEB, in History or Government, Literature-in-English, or CRS.

Candidates who have NCE/OND/HND results must at least have credit passes before they would be eligible for Admission.

• Sociology[B.Sc. Sociology]

Direct Entry Screening Form Requirements 

 Candidates /applicants with Diploma result with at least credit passes in English Language.

 Candidates who have Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) with a major in English Language with a credit pass will be considered for admission. 

Candidates who also have 2 Advanced level GCE/JUPEB  credit passes in Arts subjects which must include English Language.

Candidates must have a 5 credit pass in their O’Level results with a credit pass in English Language, Mathematics, Literature-in-English, and two other social science subjects.

Departments

• History & International Studies
• Christian Religious Studies

Direct Entry Screening Form Requirements 

(a) candidates should have 5 credits in their O/Level results, applicants/candidates must have at least two A/Level papers in necessary subjects.

(b) Candidates with OND in the required department with at least upper credit in addition to the five credit passes as in necessary subjects.

(c)  Candidates with HND in the relevant department with at least upper credit in addition to five credit passes as in relevant subjects.
