There are many cases of students missing their admission because they aren’t well enlightened, in most cases, they don’t know they’ve been offered admission, some don’t know How To Check School or JAMB Admission Status.
This article is for you to know the various means of checking and being aware of your admission status and also how you can frequently monitor your admission status.
There are many ways or methods you can use to check your admission status as well as to know the status of your admission.
One of the simplest ways to monitor your admission status is through the use of JAMB Admission Mobile Apps.
Getting this app is quite easy as all you need to do is download the app through Google or Apple Playstore.
Ways To Check your Admission list.
School Website/portal:
Almost all the tertiary institutions in Nigeria and in the world now have their own official websites.
Most of these schools do announce the release of the admission list and publish the names of admitted students on their websites.
Know the official website of your school of choice and closely monitor it to know when such announcements concerning admission have been made.
2. Email Notification
Most institutions equally do ask candidates to provide their email addresses while applying for admission and also Registration
Admission notifications are equally sent to candidates via this medium.
3. Through Jamb caps:
If you already have an existing JAMB profile, here are five (5) simple steps outlined below on how to check your admission status on the JAMB Admission List portal:
STEP 1: Go to the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) E-facility portal – portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility.
STEP 2: Log in to your Jamb profile with your username and password.
STEP 3: After a successful login, scroll down, then locate and click the ‘Check Admission Status’ tab.
STEP 4: Select your Exam year and supply your registration number in the required columns.
STEP 5: Finally, click on the ‘Check Admission Status’ button to access your JAMB admission status.
After following these five (5) steps above here are some messages or responses you’re likely to see in the jamb portal:
1. YOU HAVE BEEN OFFERED PROVISIONAL ADMISSION: at this point a candidate can now ACCEPT or Reject the admission offer.
It’s now a matter of choice of the individual
2. ADMISSION IN PROGRESS: this response clearly shows that the candidate has been recommended or selected for admission and only undergoing processing. With admission in progress, consider yourself admitted. All you have to do is keep checking back and see the notification change to congratulate you have been admitted.
3. NOT ADMITTED: this response simply means you are yet to be considered for admission. Regularly check the JAMB site to see if any changes occur.
