The IDEAS Scholarship Program will assist selected students to further their education plan and also help them develop professionally in their fields of study so that when they return they can contribute, build and work toward the development of Vietnam in the nearest future to come.
Vietnam’s population was recorded to be over 88 million.
In 2014 Vietnam was ranked by the United Nations Human Development index to be 121st out of 187 nations despite being 4 times bigger than Ireland (Ireland was ranked 11th place meaning they are more developed and advanced than Vietnam, despite Vietnam being bigger than Ireland in size)
Ireland has worked endlessly to help reduce the rate of poverty and inequality in Vietnam. This has been so far done by the Irish aid by creating programs.
These programs were aimed to help improve service delivery and create social protection for the poorest and most vulnerable people in Vietnam.
These programs have also helped promote economic development, improve the growth of the private sector, and increased the accountability of government to every citizen of Vietnam.
