1. Latvian Government Scholarships

This Latvian Government scholarship 2022 facilitates the students of undergraduate, master’s, and PhD degrees studies and if you are applying for a bachelor’s degree, the applicant must have completed the first year of studies in a member country or high school in Latvia.

This scholarship is for international students who are applying to study for the 2022/2023 academic year and it is only valid for one year of study.

2. Scholarships For International Students Provided By Turība University:

These are the countries in which applications would be accepted and fit students who are applying for bachelor’s studies, applications will only be accepted from students who have completed at least one academic year of studies (at their home higher education institution or a Latvian higher education institution, if they already have been studying in Latvia).
This scholarship is granted for one academic session of 10 months for Bachelor’s and Master’s level studies while for PhD students, up to 11 months.
Scholarship Value:
This is a full coverage scholarship valid for only one year of academic study and its equivalent is €600.
Important Documents For Latvian State Scholarships:
These are the required documents that would be demanded during the application process for this scholarship.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV).
- Letter of motivation: fjs should be in the form of a personal statement describing your reason for choosing to study in Latvia, the university and the course of choice. It should also include activities outside studies related to the study field in Latvia or the home country, e. g. work in professional organizations, participation in scientific conferences, international projects, etc.
- Photocopies of diplomas of higher education and supplements or a transcript of records of the last two study semesters (if studies are not completed).
- Copies of two letters of recommendation from academic staff members of high standing from your previous (or current university, if studies are yet to be completed), signed within the last six months.
- A copy of the letter from Turība University offering you admission into the chosen field on your application.
This document would be provided by Turība University and would be added to your application.
- Study plan for the duration of the scholarship – also provided by Turība University after registration.
- A copy of the certificate or other document certifying the language proficiency required for studies.

4. University of Latvia Scholarships
The University of Latvia has a number of scholarships open to international students studying at the university. The scholarship is based on academic excellence, research contributions and other criteria.

- Patron scholarships:
The University of Latvia Foundation administers a patron scholarship open to academically outstanding students and researchers or those with limited resources. 5. Liepaja University Scholarships for International Students
Liepaja University, in consonance with bilateral agreements on cooperation in education and science, the State Education Development Agency, offers scholarships to students, researchers and teaching staff of several countries for studies in Latvian higher education institutions.
