To help international students cover their education expenses, Miyazaki International College has designed the Miyazaki International College Scholarships.
Applications have invited candidates to submit their applications for 2022-2023.
This scholarship application is awarded to international students undertaking undergraduate or postgraduate studies at Miyazaki International College.
Winning students will receive a 50% to 100% tuition waiver. To be eligible, students must hold one of the standardized English tests or grades.
About Miyazaki International College Scholarships
Miyazaki International College is a private university in Kiyotake, Miyazaki, Japan. It was founded in 1994 under the MIC credo of “Respect and Diligence” to cultivate genuinely international individuals. He aims to strive in all things using his mind and body actively.
Miyazaki International College (MIC) is a private four-year liberal arts college accredited by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology.
Students can study in various liberal arts courses, including languages and literature, history, humanities, sociology, psychology, anthropology, economics, and political science.
Eighty percent of our faculty members are non-Japanese, creating a truly international community. Eighty-five percent of content faculty members hold a Ph.D. (includes Ph.D. candidates), and all English faculty members have master’s or higher level expertise in TESL.
At the core of MIC is the philosophy of active learning. We believe that knowledge is not acquired passively but that students actively engage in discussion, reading, writing, and problem-solving.
Students develop practical critical thinking skills through active learning to analyze, synthesize, evaluate, and create.
Students will develop English and Japanese language skills and explore various academic disciplines through small classes of less than 20 students. MIC is a small community, so MIC faculty members get to know each student individually.
Then, through personalized instruction, faculty members evaluate student progress daily or weekly.

Applicants must have completed high school and 12 years of a standard school education program or be expected to do so.

Language Requirements
Students must submit scores from the following English language proficiency tests:
- EIKEN 1 – 2 to Trans
- GTEC 2 – 950 to 1200
- TOEFL IBT – 48 to 69
- TOEIC – 470 to 770
- IELTS – 4.0 to 6.5
