Candidates applying for admission into higher institutions in Nigeria, such as universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education must know there are two types of cut-off marks the

jamb general cut-off mark and the institution cut-off marks having known this let’s look at the cut-off marks for 2024.

The Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination(UTME)Cut-off mark is 150.

This means you need to score 150 or above before you can now qualify for admission to 2021/2022 admission.

• Federal university’s cut-off mark for 2024 is 160.
• State University’s cut-off mark for 2024 is 160.
• Private University’s cut-off mark for 2024 is 140.
• State polytechnics cut-off mark  2024 is 120.
• Private polytechnics cut-off mark 2024 is 120.
• Colleges of education cut-off mark 2024 is 110.

Note: Jamb has also given institutions in Nigeria the freedom to either raise or reduce cut-off marks.
