Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (UNIZIK) Notice to Students On Deferment of Admission 2021/2022 Academic Session
While there’s no official news yet from the management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (UNIZIK) Notice to Students On Deferment of Admission 2021/2022 Academic Session…
(Once available, we will make it known to the public)
However, the management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (UNIZIK) did release news on the 24th of February, on the postponement of their orientation and matriculation ceremony for the newly admitted students.
This is as a result of the indefinite strike by ASUU which started weeks ago and had a lot of high institutions comply with the activity.
Recall that the management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (UNIZIK)recently released the date of their orientation matriculation activities as seen in the photo below.
Below is the official news released by the school through their Ag. Head, Information and Public Relations/Chief Protocol Officer Chika Gladys Ene
“This is to inform newly admitted students and the University community that the 2021/2022 Orientation and Matriculation ceremonies have been postponed indefinitely.
The postponement is due to the one-month industrial action embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
The new date will be communicated to the public in due course. We deeply regret the inconveniences”.
Anyways, we believe this doesn’t call for much alarm, however, we hope that ASUU resolves the issue with the federal government as soon as possible.
This is in order to enable our Nigerian students to return back to the classroom as soon as possible. We, therefore, advise that all students make good use of this period to learn a skill, carry out research in their course of study and strive to be productive.
