Minimum Prerequisites For Admission into Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (Unizik) Post-and / B.End 2021/2022 Academic Session.
Applicants for all PG Programme must have a minimum of 5 credits comprising of English Language and any four relevant subjects at one or two sittings from WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or TC11( Only for Faculty of Education) as required by Nnamdi Azikiwe University.

Admission Requirement For The Various Programmes.
Postgraduate Diploma Programmes
The below is compulsory for admission into the Postgraduate Diploma Programmes.
1. University Graduates that have first-degree classification with FCGPA of 1.51 and above on a 5 point scale.
2. Prospects from approved Polytechnics who has a Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Lower Credit.
For Masters Degree Programmes For Nnamdi Azikiwe University
The following may apply for admission into Masters Programmes.
1. University graduates with a suitable degree in the proposed field of study with a minimum FCGPA of 2.50
2. Postgraduate Diploma holders from notable institutions with an FCGPA OF 3.00 and above (on a 5 point scale)
FOR MPHIL/PhD Programmes in Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
University graduates with a Master’s Degree in the proposed field of study and under the available Courses with an FCGPA of 3.20-3.49
For Doctors of Philosophy Programmes in Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
University graduates with a Master’s Degree in the desired area of study with a minimum FCGPA of 3.50 (5 point scale) and a minimum of 60% for universities without FCGPA.
Duration of the Programme
Postgraduate Diploma Programme(PGD)
Full-Time
A minimum of two(2) Semesters and a maximum of three (3) Semesters. Except for faculty of engineering PGD that is a minimum of 4 Semesters and a maximum of 6 Semesters
Part-Time.
A minimum of four (4) semesters and a maximum of six (6) Semesters except for Part-Time.Minimum of six (6) Semesters and a maximum of eight (8) semesters.
For Masters Degree Programme
Full-Time
A minimum of three(3) Semesters and a maximum of six (6) Semesters.
Part-Time
A minimum of four(4) semesters and a maximum of eight(8) Semesters.
For MPHIL/PHD Programme
Full-Time
A minimum of two(2) Semesters and a maximum of three(3) Semesters.
Part-Time
A minimum of three(3) Semesters and a maximum of four(4) Semesters.
For Doctor of Philosophy (PHD) Programme
Full-Time
A minimum of six (6) Semesters and a maximum of ten (10) Semesters.
Part-Time
A minimum of eight (8) semesters and a maximum of fourteen (14) Semesters.

- Click on Postgraduate School
- Select ‘Generate Application form Invoice’
- Fill out the Invoice generation form,then click on ‘Generate invoice’.
- Go to the bank and make a payment or click on Pay with Card to purchase with your credit card.
- Obtain your RRR
- Visit myedu.unizik.edu.ng to complete the Application form.
- Download and print your Acknowledgment Form and Transcript Request form to be sent to your Previous Institution for your academic transcripts.
Include the names, numbers and e-mail addresses of three Referees.
PhD applicants in submitting their forms should upload a proposal of not more than five type-written pages that include.

Application Process for the 2022/2023 Session
- Form sales begins on February 15th, 2022 and ends on 16th September 2022.
- Deadline for submission of form is on 19th of September 2022.
All Transcripts should be forwarded to the Secretary, College of Postgraduate Studies not later than 23rd September 2022.
Screening Test for Applicants will hold from the 28th-30th September 2022 and Proposal Defense for (PhD only) on 28th September 2022
PhD applicants while submitting their forms should upload a proposal of not more than five type-written pages.
