PAMO University of Medical Sciences, Portharcourt Convocation Ceremony 2021/2022 Academic Session
Pamo University of Medical Sciences, Port-Harcourt recently held its 1st convocation ceremony since its founding and accreditation by NUC.
Pamo University’s 1st convocation ceremony was held in a grand style and drew the attention of the entire public at large.
Pamo University not only celebrated its convocation ceremony by awarding bachelor degrees to undergraduate students, but the University also handed out awards to dignitaries present, and also handed out honourary awards to those who have contributed greatly to Pamo University.
PAMO University convocation ceremony was well planned, by not only lecturers but also students and the entire management of PAMO University.
PAMO University held its convocation ceremony on the 18th of December2024, the undergraduate degree awards were handed out to students physically while the Honorary Doctorate awards were handed using the zoom platform.

Events at PAMO University Convocation Ceremony.
So this is where the full gist begins. Like every other University, I myself thought the convocation ceremony will just be like the usual but in the end, I was shocked.
Pamo University was bent on becoming the talk of the town, as they planned their convocation ceremony in grand style.
The Vice-Chancellor Professor Michael F. Diejomaoh announced during the convocation ceremony at Puma University, that two (2) students graduated with 1st Class, seven (7) students graduated with 2.1, eleven (11) students graduated with 2.2 and lastly he announced that one (1) student had a 3rd Class honor.
At the convocation ceremony, the Governor of Rivers State Nyesom Ezenwo Wike was given the opportunity to announce and reward graduates who had done genuinely well and graduated with good results.
During the convocation ceremony, the Governor declared a sum of 5,000,000(five million Naira) as the scholarship fund that would be given to the best graduates, which was handed out to graduates at the convocation ceremony.
Governor Nyesom Wike was awarded the Honorary Doctorate of Science during the convocation ceremony, for his immense contribution toward the growth and upliftment of PAMO University.
During the convocation ceremony His Excellency, GEN. ABDULSALAMI A. ABUBAKAR was awarded an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Letters, for his immense support toward the growth of Pamo University.
At the convocation ceremony one of the speaker known as the Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission (NUC) – Prof. Abubakar A. Rasheed, was asked to deliver a convocation lecture on a topic that enlightens Higher Education, Private Universities, and National Development.
Prof Abubakar A. Rasheed briefly spoke on the topic and touched other necessary areas such as the evolution of higher education in Nigeria and some of the broader issues surrounding the establishment and roles of Private Universities in the National Development Project.
The farewell speech at the convocation ceremony was conveyed by the best graduating student Miss Fubara Tanunoibelema Blessing from the Department of Anatomy on behalf of the remaining graduating students.
Miss Fubara started her speech by rendering reverse to the Management of Pamo University and how they breed and disciplined her for the future ahead. Miss Fubara closed her speech by thanking the chairman and his wife the persons of Dr. Peter Odili and his wife Justice Mary Odili.
