Duties of Scholars
- Participation in foundation events (once or twice a year)
- Sending Scholarship Confirmation (Monthly)
- Submission of scholarship reports (once every two months)
- Cooperation with promotional activities (publication of the name, school name, photo, etc

- Sending academic transcripts (once every six months)
- Attend individual interviews (once a year, online)
- Sending necessary notifications
- Complying with the laws of Japan and your school’s regulations
Scholars are required to report and submit a notice of any of these to the Foundation the following events:

- When a scholar refuses a scholarship

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Open to students of the following nationalities studying at Japanese universities with a student visa.
- Open to sophomores and juniors beginning October 1, 2022, enrolled in a four-year bachelor’s degree program at the following designated universities.
- In addition to academic excellence, applicants must have a demonstrated interest in intercultural understanding and communication skills, a sincere approach to their goals, and be physically and mentally fit enough to endure life as a foreign exchange student.
- The scholarship serves those who, for financial reasons, have difficulty paying the full amount of expenses for studying abroad.
- Applicants must be born on or after April 1, 1993 (under 29 by March 31, 2022).
