However, this is not true. Your tuition fees vary depending on your chosen University, course of study, host country, level of degree, and duration of the course of study.
For instance, records have shown that most Indian students would rather consider the United States of America, or Canada when looking for a country to study abroad.
However, other countries such as; Germany, Austria, Australia, Italy, and others have shown tremendous growth in their academic sector over the years.
It might also interest you to know that some colleges or Universities in Germany, offer scholarship funds to international students that cover their full tuition fees or pay for a part of their tuition fees, and also have low tuition fees which makes Germany one of the best countries to pursue a study, especially for international students.

4. You Need To Know A Foreign Language
Another wrong myth that individuals must dispose of, is the ideology that students who wish to study abroad must learn a foreign language before they can study abroad, but that is not entirely true.
Fortunately, the majority of countries that accept and admit international students into their Universities speak the English language, as their common language while for non-speaking English language countries, the majority of the courses in its academic levels are taught in English.
Hence, learning a foreign language is not mandatory, or will in any way limit you when you wish to study abroad.
However, if you wish to study a course in a foreign language, then you could attend or take classes in the specific language before the commencement of their courses.
5. Employers Don’t Care About Studying Abroad
Modern employers value international experience much more than you could ever imagine, so the myth that employers do not care if you study abroad is wrong.
The world is changing globally and companies are changing with the times. Most companies have tiers or international partners, so they prefer to hire individuals who have international experience, and are knowledgeable.
So if as a student you learn a foreign language while studying abroad, then that could be an added advantage to your CV and would give you an edge over your peers and career.

6. It Is Difficult to Make Friends Abroad
Once you are a friendly and social person regardless of your skin colour, it would not be difficult to make friends abroad, so the myth that you won’t be able to make friends is wrong.
Each year students from all over the country continue to travel abroad, so you would meet students like you who are new and do not know their way around the institution, so this is a great opportunity to gain friends from different countries.
There have been many instances where students meet other students, who travel abroad and end up gaining lifelong friends or spouses.
7. There Aren’t Enough Scholarships
As an international student who wishes to study abroad, there are numerous scholarships or bursaries that you could apply for, that would cover the full cost of your tuition fees, and other expenses or will cover a particular percentage of your tuition fees.
Most scholarships abroad are financed by either government, the University, foundations or individuals. Scholarship opportunities differ for each University, country and academic level.

8. The Experience is The Same As That of Touring Abroad
Touring or visiting a country is amazing but the experience is different when you are studying in the country.
The experience is different because studying abroad allows you to bond with natives of the land, and learn their culture, or even their language which cannot be learnt in a short duration.
Another reason why the experience gained from touring a country is different from the experience gained when studying in the country, is that students will be locals studying in a foreign country, and will be open to unlimited resources at their disposal.
