The Federal University of Technology, Akure FUTA was founded in the year 1981 by the federal government of Nigeria with the aim of creating universities that specialize in producing graduates with deep-rooted theoretical as well as practical knowledge of technology.

The Federal University of Technology, Akure FUTA is located at the capital city of Ondo State known as Akure.

Founded in 2018, The School of Computing (SOC) was created specifically for departments related to computer science and every other computer-related program.

This school has five subsidiary departments and is located in the Obanla campus of the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA).

The following departments are:

• Information Systems  department (IFS)
• Cyber Security department (CYS)
• Information Technology department (IFT)
• Software Engineering department (SEN)

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) also runs pre-degree science programs, Short-Term courses, and University Advanced Basic Science programs.

As regards the tuition fees,  the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) is rated as one of the cheapest universities with a modern model of education in Nigeria. This has made it one of the most sought-after institutions.

While there’s no official deadline yet, note that late payment will attract extra charges, and the inability to pay could lead to the inability to write the semester exam and invalidation of admission for new students.
