The University of Lagos General And Departmental Cut Off Mark
Admission into FULL-TIME undergraduate programmes is ONLY through Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE).
Candidate must possess five (5) credits in O’Level or its equivalent as required by the Department of interest.
Candidates must obtain a minimum of 200 points in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and the Candidate’s details must have been forwarded to the University of Lagos by Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
The candidate must sit for the University POST-UTME Examination and must obtain the required minimum score.
The University Admissions Office processes FULL-TIME admission into undergraduate programmes ONLY.
Admission into other programmes like Foundation, Diploma, Distance Learning Institute (DLI), Post-graduate, and evening programmes are handled by other organs of the University.
Faculty Of Arts
Department- Creative arts
Level subjects:
i. Theatre Arts: Five O/Level credit passes in English Language, Literature-in-English, Mathematics, and any other two subjects one of which must be an Arts subject.
ii. Visual Arts: Five O/Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, two Arts subjects (which may include any one of Fine Arts/Visual Arts/ Photography/Craft Practice/Dyeing & Bleaching/Painting & Decoration), and any other subject.
iii. Music: Five O/Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, two Arts subjects (which may include Music), and any other subject. English Language, any one of Fine Arts/Literature-in-English/Music, one Arts subject and any Science subject.
Department- English
UTME requirements:
Five O/Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Literature-in-English and any two of French, History/Government, CRS/IRS, and any Nigerian Language.
UTME subjects: English Language, Literature in English and any two of CRS/IRS, French, History, Government, and any Nigerian Language.
Department- European languages
- French
Utme requirements: Five O/Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and any three Arts or Social Sciences. Civic Education and Computer Studies are also accepted.
Utme subjects: English Language and any three Arts or Social Sciences.
2. Russian
Utme requirements: Five O/Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and any three Arts or Social Sciences. Civic Education and Computer Studies are also accepted.

Department-Linguistics African and Asian studies
1. Igbo/Yoruba/Chinese
Utme requirement; Five O/Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, and any three Arts, Science or Social Sciences. Social Studies and Civic Education are also accepted.
Utme subject; English Language and any three Arts, Science or Social Sciences.
Philosophy
Utme requirements; Five O/level credits in English Language, Mathematics, one Art and any two Arts, Social Sciences and Science. Civic Education is also accepted.
Utme subject; English Language, one Arts and any two Arts, Social Sciences or Science.
Christian religious studies
Utme requirements: Five Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, CRS and any other two subjects.
