The official cut-off mark for the University of Nigeria 2021/2022 Admission is 200.
However, the competitive nature of the school makes it grade its acceptance process ranges from the highest scorer. So the higher you score, the higher your chances of getting accepted.
Prospects with high scores find it easier to get admitted whereas candidates with a basic score of 200 may likely not get the chance for admission. I will advise that you aim at 300 rather than the 200 jambs cut-off mark.
Also, although the basic cut-off mark is 200, it differs in terms of the department, as some might require a slightly higher cut-off mark which most times go as high as 298.
The University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) admission screening exercises comes in two phases:
The first phase is called the pre-screening exercise which involves students who applied to the school. It does not require many protocols and only needs documents such as SSCE results and JAMB registration printout. During the screening, a candidate must arrive early at his/her screening venue.
The second phase of the screening is only for candidates who are on the merit list of admission, and this takes place after the release of the admission list. And they are required to come with;
• Admission Status slip
• Original copies of their Statements of Results
• Birth Certificate
• Local government certificate
How to calculate UNN total score
After post-UTME, UNN calculates the total scores of each candidate by calculating their average JAMB score and Post-UTME score.
Formula: (JAMB score + Post-UTME score) ÷ 2
Departmental cut-off marks are judged against your total score. So, if your average is the same or above the departmental cut-off mark for your course, you are likely to see your name on the merit admission list.
