Gaining admission to study your dream course involves a handful of processes. It is dream come true when you finally gain admission to study your dream course.
An aspirant who wants to study at the University of Uyo is expected to meet certain criteria that the school has set up for their admission process, one of which is meeting up with their cut-off marks.
A cut-off mark is a score set up by an institution that must be attained before one can be admitted into the institution.
Generally, UniUyo has adopted a minimum of 180 as their cut-off mark for the 2021/2022 admission exercise.
This was released by the school management to inform those who applied for the institution as their first choice during their UTME registration.
Though, this cut-off mark varies in departments and faculty. Each faculty has a benchmark that must be observed before an aspirant can be admitted into the faculty.
More so, you must score a minimum of 150 in your UTME examination to be eligible for the 2021/2022 admission process.
If you scored 150 and above in the UTME examination, you are eligible for the 2021/2022 POST-UTME exercise.
The admission process is very competitive because of the number of aspirants that apply for the institution every year.
And preference is given to those with higher Jamb scores. It is advisable to score above the Jamb cut-off mark and departmental cut-off mark to increase your chances of gaining admission into the institution.
A couple of times, I see aspirants ask the question; I scored 180 in my UTME exam, can I still study LAW with this JAMB score?
The answer is yes. If you perform very well in the Post-UTME exam and score well far above the cut-off mark, you have an 80% chance of gaining admission to study a course like LAW
and Medicine and Surgery. The departmental cut-off is determined by each department. Professional courses like Medicine, Nursing, Law, Pharmacy, etc.
