The scholarship award is to be taken in the United Kingdom
The educational award seeks to enable and encourage international students from low-income backgrounds to pursue full-time Undergraduate degree studies at University College London (UCL).
Requirements
– All nationalities are eligible for the scholarship
– All undergraduate degrees in any subject area are offered by the university.
Criteria:
To be considered for this program students must meet all the requirements of the University such as
1. The Applicant must be eligible to pay the overseas fee rate
2. The Applicant must come from a low-income background i.e household income must be 42,875 pounds or less.
3. The Applicants must belong to the first generation of their family to enter higher education
4. The Applicant must have submitted an admission application for a full-time undergraduate degree at the University College London in 2022/2023.
5. The applicant must also meet the University College London Standard English language requirements such as
– IELTS 6.5 or above overall and a minimum of 6.0 in each element
Value and Benefits of Scholarship
The University College London will grant 30 scholarships with full tuition fees each for overseas fee-paying students.
The successful applicant will receive an award of 4,000 pounds per year for the duration of their study program.
The scholarship is awarded to cover students’ maintenance costs.
How to Apply
1. Applicants who are interested and qualified should first visit the University site to apply
2. Applicant must apply for an approved study program at the university and complete an application form.
3. Applicants should log in to Portico with their normal details.
4. Click on the ‘View’ button for the ‘Active Application’ that you wish to apply for funding.
5. In the application screen, click on the ‘Funding’ in the menu at the top of the page.
The applicant will then be on the funding page.
To find out which funds you are eligible to apply for click ‘Check and apply’ under ‘Funds Available’.

The applicant should provide the school with the following supporting documents
1. Applicant Pre-qualification degree
2. Applicant copies of academic transcripts
3. Applicant certificates of English language proficiency
4. A statement from the Applicant
5. A copy of the applicant’s passport
