This scholarship is awarded from the office of the Vice-Chancellor of Dundee University to students from the countries under the European Union.

If you are not a citizen of any country under the EU, you are not eligible for this particular scholarship because it is for citizens of the EU, whether graduates or postgraduates.

• Value Of Scholarship:

This is a full-time scholarship that covers your years of study.  Your course of choice must be within 3-5 years of study (that is how long the scholarship would cover) and any more than that (in case of a re-sit or extra year) you would cover that by paying yourself.

The scholarship grants a total of five thousand pounds (£5,000) per year of study.

• Level of Study:

Either Postgraduate courses or Undergraduate students are accepted into this scholarship, provided you are a citizen of a country under the European Union.

• Mode of Study: Full-time

As stated earlier, this scholarship does not cover part-time students. It is a full-time scholarship.

• Start Date: September 2022, January 2022. This is when newly admitted students commence study and scholarship begins counting.

Generally, The University of Dundee is offering scholarships of £5,000 per year of study – up to a maximum value of £25,000 to applicants living in the EU.

To be eligible for this scholarship award, you must meet all the following criteria:

• Have an offer to study:

(Undergraduates)

To apply, you must first be granted admission into the University of Dundee, a full time, Undergraduate course excluding any courses in the School of Medicine or the School of Dentistry as the scholarship does not cover courses in this field of study.

(Postgraduate)

A full time, 180 credit postgraduate taught course over the course of 1 year. If you are studying a 2-year full-time postgraduate taught course, you may be eligible for the award in both years.

• Citizen / Permanent Resident In an EU Country:

This is a key requirement because this award is designed for students from EU countries.

• Have International fee status as determined by the University of Dundee.

Conclusion:

You can apply to the University of Dundee without applying for this scholarship. However, you cannot apply for this scholarship outside the University of Dundee regardless of whether you meet the eligibility requirements.

There is no separate application form for this scholarship. You must apply to study a course at the University of Dundee first and your eligibility will be assessed as part of your course application. 

You will be notified in writing if you have received this scholarship.
