Value Of Scholarship:
This scholarship is open to international and home college students that want to undertake PhD programmes in Math and computing.
The PhD scholarship in Game Theory and Computational Social Choice is part of an analysis agenda aiming to develop environment friendly and strong mechanisms for e-Governance on the blockchain.
The University of Liverpool will provide funded Studentship for four years in total. It will provide UK tuition fees and maintenance at the UKRI Doctoral Stipend rate of £16,062 per annum, 2022/23 rate.
Also, this scholarship is not online, it is valid for students who come to the campus for education. And, the only eligible department is the Department of Faculty of Science and Engineering and for PhD students alone.
Eligibility; Requirements & Demanded Documents:
All nationalities are eligible for this scholarship.
To be eligible, the applicants must be International students and must have enrolled in the PhD degree programme at the University.
Below are the required documents;
- Academic records.
- CV.
- Copy of passport.
- Two references.
- Recommendation letters.
- A strong Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or a closely related academic discipline.
- Students must demonstrate that they are competent in using the English language and satisfy the University’s requirements.
- A good Honours degree (first-class or 2:1) or an equivalent qualification.
- A wide background in mathematics is required for success in research, students with higher qualifications (e.g. MSc, MMath, Cambridge Part III). Those without the higher qualification may be required to follow some or all of the taught part of the MSc.
- Students must be starting a research degree during the 2021/22 academic session which begins in October 2021.
- Also, the student must be able to carry out independent research in a laboratory-based environment.
There are some students who are not eligible to take up the award as stated by the University of Liverpool :
- Students registered with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
- A student entering the second or any subsequent year of study.
- Home or EU students.
- Students who will not be laboratory-based for the entirety of their research programme (excluding the writing up year)
- Students who have undertaken any previous study at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University
- Students on a partnership or joint degree (for example, NTHU).
- Students transferring to the University of Liverpool from partnership institutions where an alternative fee payment or scholarship arrangement has been made.
How to Apply For University of Liverpool PhD Studentships in Game Theory and Computational Social Choice for International Students 2021/2022
To be considered for this opportunity, you must first be a student of the University of Liverpool University under the department of Game Theory and Computational Social choice or, you have received admission into the PhD degree programme at the University.
Application Deadline:
Applications must be submitted by April 18, 2022.
The award is available only for 1 year once you have completed the on-campus registration process and is dependent on your progress being satisfactory and your registration continuing. Should you withdraw for any reason, the funds will return to the university.
Conclusion:
