You know, I really like watching Robin Hood. I know we’ve all seen that film and it was set in the forest of Nottingham, which was why when I saw this opportunity, I knew I had to write about it. Because what kind of person would I be if I don’t bring you good opportunities from the forest of Nottingham?
However, this opportunity is courtesy of Sir Francis Hill (not Robin Hood, unfortunately) and this kind Sir has left a scholarship opportunity for international students.
Sir James William Francis Hill was an English solicitor and among other things, served at the University of Nottingham as its third counsellor.

About Sir Francis Hill Postgraduate Scholarship:
This is a research scholarship opportunity to the University of Nottingham, for postgraduate PhD students in the faculties of arts and social sciences.
It is an international scholarship that can only be claimed at the University of Nottingham, and it covers the complete tuition fee for selected candidates and also allocates an annual living allowance and this is all funded from the money allocated under the will of Sir Francis Hill.
Value of Sir Francis Hill University of Nottingham Postgraduate Scholarship:
As stated earlier, this scholarship covers the tuition fee incurred by the selected candidate.
The tuition fee of £15,609 and an annual living allowance of £4,500 would be awarded to the selected candidate.
Eligible Persons For Sir Francis Hill University of Nottingham Postgraduate Scholarship:
This scholarship as the name implies is only open to postgraduate students who have received an offer to study a PhD programme at the Faculty of Art or Social Sciences at Nottingham.
If you have not received an offer to study under the faculty of Art or Social Sciences, or are already a student under any of these faculties at the University of Nottingham, you cannot apply for this scholarship.
It is only open to one international postgraduate student for the 2022/2023 academic year.
International students are eligible and the award is open to full and part-time students.

Through this body, your voice would be heard. At the University of Nottingham, it is believed that everyone had a voice that should be heard. In the same way, every student should have the chance to share their views, and make their voice heard.

- To apply you must first apply for postgraduate admission at the University of Nottingham.
- After receiving your offer to study, you should go to https://www.nottingham.ac.uk/ and fill out the online form.
- Provide all the requested documents and submit only correct and honest information.
- Email your completed application form to the relevant school contact (it would be listed)
- You are only allowed to submit one application for this scholarship to the Researcher Academy.
- Once the school has selected their choice, the candidate would be contacted by the School.
Deadline For Sir Francis Hill University of Nottingham Postgraduate Scholarship:
Applications are to be submitted no layered than Friday 29 April 2022.
If you submit on this date, your application may or may not be disqualified.
After the application closes, results would be available by mid-June and the lucky students contacted via email.
