The Brennan Family Foundation scholarship is specifically for candidates in the faculty of arts and science and the department degree eligible for this scholarship is a Master’s degree in Teaching and Early Childhood at the University of Sydney.

About University of Sydney Brennan Family Foundation Scholarships for International Students 2021/2022
The Brennan Foundation, through the University of Sydney, will provide the selected candidates $8000 per annum and is secure for the full-time duration of the degree.
This scholarship is a full-time one meaning that it would cover the selected candidates from the start of their Master’s degree in Teaching and Early Childhood at the University of Sydney, till the end, however long the duration of study may be.
This scholarship supports domestic and international students enrolled in the first year of the Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Candidates who are not currently e rolled at the University of Sydney under the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and in the first year of the Master of Teaching (Early Childhood) will not be eligible for this scholarship.
It is strictly for the above candidates.
Value of Scholarship:
The scholarship is worth eight thousand USD ($8000) per year for the duration of the degree.
Required Documents:
The students are required to present the following documents to the University;
- Leadership potential
- Two referee reports, including one from an academic
- Academic merit transcripts
- A personal statement detailing their leadership skills
- Students must hold a bachelor’s degree before applying.
- Students must be proficient in the English language and for international students who might not have English as their first language, there is a need for documented evidence to prove your fluency.
Also, the Candidate must be enrolled in the first year of the Master of Teaching (Early Childhood).

Application for this scholarship begins by
22 March 2022 and ends on 20 April 2022
Selection Criteria
The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of:
I. academic merit,
II. leadership potential,
III. two referee reports including one from an academic, and
IV. a personal statement detailing their leadership skills, area of interest, the direction of their career path, extracurricular activities and community involvement.
b. Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend an interview.
c. The Scholarship will be awarded on the recommendation of a selection committee consisting of two representatives of the Sydney School of Education and Social Work.
