How to do Final Year Clearance in Imo State University, Owerri (IMSU)
Doing your final clearance in Imo State University can be discouraging when you don’t know how to go about it or where to start from, most students entrust some persons to help them out in their clearance and in return pays the person.

Section 1.
Departmental Reconciliation
Clearance in Imo State University, Owerri (IMSU) starts from departmental reconciliation.
Departmental reconciliation is the process by which a student’s total departmental result is compiled from 100 level down to final year to enable the calculation of his/her Cumulative Grade Point Average (GGPA).
Once your result is been reconciled by your reconciliation officer, your name will be entered on the departmental senate list. The senate list is very essential in the clearance process.
For a successful reconciliation, you must not have any outstanding “carry over result” in your courses. If you do, you must partake in the upcoming exam so as to re-write the courses you failed.
Section 2
Clearance Form
After completing your reconciliation from your department, next is getting a clearance form.
You can get your clearance form by making payment for the form and then take the receipt to the bursary for signing, After signing then you head straight to the exams and record with the signed receipt for collection of the clearance form.
Once form is collected, kindly fill were necessary.
After filling, take the form to the offices that is expected to sign the form, eg. Office of your Dean, HOD, Sports, Medicals, Library, Faculty etc.

Bursary Payments
After completion of your clearance form signing, you then make all the compulsory payments that accompanies clearance. These payments includes your over all school fees and Clearance form, Statement of result, convocation, Alumni fee.
After making payments, take the receipts to the bursary for signing.
Section 4
Bursary Clearance
After making all the payments, attach all your original receipts in other of payment behind your clearance form and your senate approved list, staple them together and head straight to the office in the bursary department where you’ll do your final clearance and payments check.
Section 5
Exams and Record Clearance
Once you are you are through with final bursary clearance and payments check, your clearance form and original payment receipts will be returned back to you.
After that simply photocopy the original copy of clearance form and receipts then you go to the exams and record with both the original and photocopy for submission for them to verify your documents.
After submission, they will ask you to come back for final clearance in two or three days time.
Section 6
Statement of result collection
Go with all your documents (original copy) amassed in school starting from your JAMB down to graduation including the last copy of your four files for final clearance.
After your successful exams and record final clearance, you will be issued your statement of result Immediately or will be asked to come back the next day for pick up.
