Value of Educational loan by P.E.O;
Generally, the loan amounts are based on the availability of funds and the field of study of the applicant.
Maximum loan amounts are:
$12,000 for a non-degree accredited program, an associate or bachelor’s degree
$15,000 for a master’s degree
$20,000 for a doctoral degree
The interest rate on this educational fund is The current rate of interest is 2 per cent. Six months after the borrower’s stated graduation date or withdrawal from the educational program, equal instalments of combined principal and interest will commence.
Eligibility For International Peace Scholarship for Women:
- All applicants for the ELF Loan Fund must be recommended by a local chapter of the P.E.O. Sisterhood.
- The applicant must have been accepted in an accredited U.S. or Canadian post-secondary institution and by the time the loan is to be disbursed, must have resumed educational study there.
- Has a high school diploma or equivalent before application
- The applicant must be a citizen or legal permanent resident of the U.S. or Canada and reside in the U.S. or Canada, to be eligible.
- Meets the minimum credit score of 625
- Has two qualified cosigners for the loan.
- Demonstrates financial need
- The applicant must maintain the scholastic grade point average required for graduation by the school of her registration.
- All required transcript of grades is submitted to the P.E.O. Executive Office as part of the application process and if requested, before each loan instalment is drawn. After applying, they must submit an application within six to 24 months before the stated graduation or course completion date.
- The applicant must be female.
- International Student Scholar Award:
Grand Valley State University offers a scholarship award to incoming international students who have demonstrated an outstanding academic achievement record.
The value of this scholarship is five thousand dollars($5,000)
Eligibility For International Student Scholar Award:
- Qualified students have a minimum 3.0-grade point average.
- The students must submit academic credentials, scholarship essays and other information provided in the application as this is the basis on which decisions are made.
