Eligibility
For an applicant to be eligible for this scholarship they must need to:
– Have applied to the University of Melbourne
– They must meet the entry requirements for a graduate research program at the university
– They can be currently enrolled in a graduate research program at the University
Criteria
This scholarship is available to international and domestic students who are offered admission to a master program by Research or doctoral degree (Ph.D.) at the University of Melbourne
The students will be awarded a Research Training Program Scholarship (Fee Offset).
Domestic and international students are awarded this scholarship that comes with a stipend as well as a fee offset based on their academic record.
Applicants who qualify for the University of Melbourne Graduate Research Scholarship are scored and ranked according to their academic records, outstanding achievement of their last degree, and their research potential in their chosen field of study.
The following factors will be taken into consideration such as;
– Applicant’s completion of a degree at the level of which the research scholarship program is sought for
– Applicants’ relevant professional experience
– Refereed publications
– Specialist medical qualification
– Applicants’ ability to compose original music.

This scholarship is subjected to the Graduate Research Scholarships Terms & Conditions.
Application procedure
For the new student who has applied for a graduate research course before the application closing date for the course of their choice,
They would be considered automatically for the Graduate Research Scholarships at the University of Melbourne.
They will also receive notification between the time they applied and 10 working days of having submitted their course application that a scholarship application has been added to their academic record.
If you have accepted a graduate research course offer and deferred commencement to be reconsidered for a scholarship, you must submit an online application form by 31 October to be considered for a scholarship in the following year.
If the applicant is currently enrolled in a graduate research course at the university for which they seek a scholarship, They must submit an online application form by 31 October to be considered for a scholarship in the following year.
The applicant would receive a notification that a scholarship application has been added to their record within ten business days of having submitted the online form.
